Atlas of Social Innovation was presented at the Asia-Pacific-Forum of the United Nations in Bangkok

The Fifth Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development: „Transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies” took place from 28 to 30 March 2018 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok. Organised by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) with more than 750 participants, including representatives from 51 countries, 29 International organizations and representatives of civil society, Antonius Schröder was invited to present the Atlas of Social Innovation and the main results of the SI-DRIVE project at a fair stand and in the side event “Social Innovations for Social Change: An Alternate Pathway for Creating an Enabling Environment for Sustainable and Resilient Communities”.


This event was conducted together with Swati Banerjee from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences TISS (Mumbai, India) and the UNDP Thailand – Thailand Social Innovation Platform / UN ESCAP Environment and Development Division (EDD). The high interest in the Atlas of Social Innovation and the high relevance of Social Innovation for implementing and accomplishing the Sustainable Development Goals became visible by more than 300 interested participants visiting the SI-DRIVE fair stand. The Fifth Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) created a foundation for effective regional cooperation to support the national efforts to implement the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development.
