The 9th EDEN Research Workshop, taking place on the 5th and 6th October in Oldenburg, deals with new developments concerning “Online and Distance Learning“. A main issue for the workshop is the compatibility of genuine theories with new technologies and new forms of learning. One section highlights the management of global web based learning systems.

This issue shapes the activities of the I-LINC project which is executed by the social research center (sfs) of TU Dortmund, Telecentre Europe, European Schoolnet and Telefonica. I-LINC integrates the fields of “digital skills”, “youth employment” and “youth entrepreneurship” on its online platform. Stakeholders of those fields therefore find a place to interact and communicate in order to develop networks and new tools covering the three mentioned fields. The activities of I-LINC will be presented to the audience on the 9th EDEN Research Workshop by Jens Maylandt (sfs) from the I-LINC team.
