TU Dortmund University at international innovation research conference Eu-SPRI in Sweden

From 7 to 10 June 2016, the Eu-SPRI Conference 2016 took place in Lund, Sweden. Scientists from different world regions participated at the conference under the topic "Exploring new avenues for Innovation and Research Policies".

The Eu-SPRI Forum pursues the target of strengthening the interdisciplinary research community in the field of innovation research and policy. The focus is primary on global challenges in different areas such as health, social and environmental conditions. As innovation policy is increasingly becoming an independent policy area, the conference was concentrated on the relationship between theory and empirical studies regarding different fields of action. See here for further information about the conference.

Prof. Dr. Jürgen Howaldt and Dmitri Domanski participated at the Eu-SPRI Conference in Lund representing the Social Research Centre Dortmund (Central Scientific Unit of TU Dortmund University). With a presentation about a theoretically sound concept of social innovation as part of a comprehensive innovation theory, they elaborated on the theoretical and empirical research results of the global mapping of social innovation initiatives in the research project SI-DRIVE.
