Bastian Pelka introduced a brief overview on results from 17 FP7 and H2020 projects on social innovation. His main findings:

  • There are several definitions what counts as "social innovation"
  • A main method of investigation seems to be the case study, accompanied by interviews. Quantitative data is rare.
  • A main point of critic is the missing user perspective.
  • A big challenge is impact maesurement: All projects are working on this; but solutions are rare.
