TU Dortmund University – sfs at international seminar on social innovation in social work at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile

The seminar focused on the development of an instrument to improve the evaluation of the quality of social programmes.

Foto_SI_chile On May 20 the School for Social Work (http://trabajosocial.uc.cl) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (www.uc.cl) organized an international seminar about the development of tools for quality management in social programmes. In his lecture on social innovation and social change, Dmitri Domanski, researcher at TU Dortmund University – sfs, presented the first results of the international research project SI-DRIVE – Social Innovation: Driving Force of Social Change (http://www.si-drive.eu/) and spoke on some current social innovation trends in Chile.

The School for Social Work of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile works within the project “Innovación Social Efectiva” on a set of indicators to measure the quality of social programmes. It is about developing an instrument that can be used by social workers and that allows for improving the quality of programmes offered. A website where social programmes can be evaluated will be launched in December 2015.
