TU Dortmund University – sfs at workshop “Rethinking the role of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH): towards a reflective and generative perspective” in Brussels

On 26th February international experts discussed upon invitation of the University of Bologna (http://www.unibo.it/en) and the EU Office of the Emilia-Romagna Region the contribution of social sciences and humanities in the joint effort of the scientific community towards the interdisciplinarity required by the programme Horizon 2020.

workshop_socialscience In this context, the topic of impact and valorization of SSH research took centre stage. In six working groups participants dealt with different topics, such as Social Innovation; Sustainable Lifestyle and Food; ICT and Social Inclusion; Culture and Creativity; Health, Care and Education; Public Policies, Work and Welfare.

Dmitri Domanski, researcher at TU Dortmund University – sfs, took part with the presentation “Social Sciences and Humanities’ role in Social Innovation – Some key observations from the experience of TU Dortmund University – sfs”. Altogether, the event was attended by over 80 participants.
