A series of events for stakeholders and employment agencies in the Erasmus+ project "JobAct Europe - social inclusion through social arts", launched at the beginning of the year, has now been successfully completed.

For disseminating the JobAct-method – empowerment of disadvantaged target groups - a total of six multiplier events have been organised since February all over Europe by the European project partners. Invited were  stakeholders from cities and municipalities, potential funders as well as other initiatives interested in the JobAct concept.

Sharing the method of integration by social art that was researched and further developed in the project, built the centre of the events. This is based on a combination of theatre pedagogical measures, classical application management and a target group-specific approach. Besides the introduction of the pilot projects, conducted by the project partners for the labour market integration of unemployed persons, the events were artistically and creatively implemented and included lectures and presentations as well as short acting performances by participants in the pilot projects. To really experience the effect of social art, the participants of the event were included in the theatre exercises used in the pilot projects.

The multiplier events mark an important milestone on the way to a broad spreading of the project results in the partner countries. The feedback was thoroughly positive and shows that social art is a universal education approach with universal fields of application. The toolset for practitioners that will be published shortly will enable the adaption of the method for even more target groups. Further information will follow.

The multiplier events were carried out as follows:

  • Turin (IT): Project partner La Cooperativa Sociale Patchanka (February 2019)
  • Budapest (HU): Project partners Faktor Terminál and Szubjective Values Foundation (May 2019)
  • Witten (DE): Project partner project factory (September 2019)
  • Paris (FR): Project partner La tête de l'emploi (September 2019)
  • Florence (IT): Project partner Vivaio per l'Intraprendenza (October 2019)
